Warner Bros. and DC Want 'Fury' Director for 'Suicide Squad' Movie

Director David Ayer who is behind the upcoming film Fury is being eyed for a Warner Bros. film centered on the DC villain team-up known as the Suicide Squad. The project has reportedly been in development for a couple of years with a script written by Justin Marks, but it was earlier this year that Warner Bros. started looking for a director with dark, edgy and gritty qualities that Ayer seems to fit perfectly.

THR reported that Ayer is circling the project which is expected to take one of the dates that Warner Bros. announced for untitled DC films through 2020. The Suicide Squad roster is originally made up of convicted supervillains Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark and Captain Boomerang, they are forced to work for the government for reduced sentences by completing missions that will most likely see them all dead, hence the name of the team. I hope more material about the film comes soon, I am very excited to hear about this project and think it could work out great with the director they want to attach.
