Quentin Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight' Will Shoot in Colorado on December 8th

Now that we are past all the complications that had to be dealt with early on for Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, fans that are anticipating the film can breath easier as production runs its course until the film is released in Fall 2015. The latest news from the production is that filming will take place in Colorado and plans to begin as early as December.

According to the Denver Post, Colorado beat Utah and Wyoming as to the location where the film would be shot, making The Hateful Eight, budgeted at $44 million, the biggest production in the state since western classic True Grit (1996). Prep work is reported to take place next month with filming expected to start on December 8th just outside Telluride, and the entire film, interiors and exteriors, will be shot in the state of Colorado.

Quentin Taratino's The Hateful Eight will be set in the early 1870s and will center on Civil War vets, bounty hunters and scoundrels as they descend on a small town. No official announcement on cast has been made but it is expected to be small and include Tarantino favorites like Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Madsen, Amber Tamblyn and Bruce Dern.
