'Star Wars: Episode VII' adds Game of Thrones’ Miltos Yerolemou to cast

A new Star Wars: Episode VII casting has been revealed, the BBC broke the news that Game of Thrones actor Miltos Yerolemou has joined the cast for the upcoming film in an undisclosed role. Yerolemou is known for playing the swordsman Syrio Forel on the hit show, and is known to have taken on other sword-wielding roles during his career.

Given the sword fighting experience and training the actor must have the speculation is that he will be playing a role that involves wielding a lightsaber, the role is thought to be a minor one but with Lucasfilm declining to comment on the casting nothing is certain. Personally I don't watch Game of Thrones, but knowing the description of the character he played and the experience he has with his other roles this casting seems to make sense (from pure assumption that his role involves a lightsaber). Little is left to be said and the rest is left to speculation since nothing is known about the role or the plot of the movie for that matter.

Yerolemou will be joining Game of Thrones co-star Gwendoline Christie, along with original Star Wars trio Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, plus previously announced actors Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Max von Sydow. Star Wars: Episode VII recently resumed filming after a few weeks hiatus but is still set to be released in December 18th, 2015.
