First Trailer and Poster for 'Serena' starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper

The first trailer and poster for Serena have hit the web, the period film starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper as Serena and George Pemberton follows a newly-wed North Carolina couple in the 1920s as they build a timber empire, but when Serena discovers the hidden past of George their marriage as well as their empire take a dramatic turn.

The film is an adaptation from a Ron Rash novel and went into development in 2010 with a different director and lead before eventually shooting in 2012 with Lawrence and Cooper directed by Susanne Bier, who's perfectionist tendencies are reportedly (via /Film) the reason why the film took so long to be finished. The story of the film is interesting enough and adding the Oscar level trio of stars and director has to make you want to watch it, but just in case you need a little more to give it a shot check out the poster and trailer below.
