Tom Hiddleston to Star in 'Skull Island' and Jordan Vogt-Roberts to Direct

Fans at San Diego Comic-Con were pleased and excited when Legendary teased the idea of a King Kong origin film in Skull Island with a script written by Max Borenstein. Now Legendary has announced via press release that they have selected Tom Hiddleston to star and Jordan Vogt-Roberts to direct the upcoming film that will take us deep into the mysterious and dangerous world that lies within the island. The director also made the announcement of his involvement via twitter. Universal will be distributing the film that is set to be released on November 4th, 2016.

I don't know enough about the director to have much to say on his attachment but the studio seems to trust and believe in him enough to go for it so I will have to take their word for it, as far as Hiddleston goes I am on board with him as the lead, he is a very talented actor and has proven that can handle big productions being involved with Thor and Avengers so no worries there. I am looking forward to what Legendary and everyone involved will give us with Skull Island so I hope we hear or see more news about it soon.
