Ross Katz to direct Nicholas Sparks' 'The Choice'

For the 11th time a Nicholas Sparks novel will be made into a film with The Choice, the book follows the tale of a man and a woman that start out as neighbors and develop an unexpected relationship. Variety gives the exclusive that Ross Katz is now attached to direct the film that is set to start filming this October in Wilmington, N.C. with a script written by Bryan Sipe.

Katz is a two-time Oscar nominee for producing In the Bedroom and Lost in Translation, and has directed the TV movie Taking Chance and Adult Beginners which is currently in post-production and set for a September 8th, 2014 release at the Toronto Film Festival.
