Dwayne Johnson will play Black Adam in 'Shazam' with Darren Lemke writing the script

The wait is over, after months of teasing and hinting by Dwayne Johnson at a Shazam movie and what character he would become it has finally been revealed what role the actor will have and where the project stands. Variety has the exclusive that Johnson will play the villain turned anti-hero Black Adam and that Darren Lemke has been brought on board to write a script, with Johnson confirming the casting via twitter announcing that he would become Black Adam accompanied by the quote "Kneel at his feet or get crushed by his boot." No production dates have been revealed but as the script is completed it is expected that production will start moving forward. This news comes quickly after DC had registered URLs for a Shazam movie and three more titles which adds to belief that the other films could also be announced soon.

The casting comes as little surprise but instead answers the question of Shazam or Black Adam and in my opinion this casting is great, he has the build of the character and has shown himself very passionate about the project so no worries there. But now another question emerges, who will be playing Shazam or if there will even be a Shazam. I have little to say about the writer I am very neutral about it since none of his latest projects have been huge successes, so as far as that goes we will just have to wait and see. I am very excited about this project and cant wait for more material to come out.
