'Dirty Grandpa' and 'Now You See Me 2' Get Release Dates

Lionsgate is setting up their movie roster for the years to come, and according to Variety they have revealed the release dates for two upcoming projects, Now You See Me 2 and Dirty Grandpa.

Dirty Grandpa has received a Christmas 2015 release date. As recently reported, the film will star Zac Efron and Robert De Niro as an uptight grandson and a foul mouth grandpa as they are stuck driving together to Florida for spring break, the film will be directed by Dan Mazer and the script written by John Phillips.

 Now You See Me 2 will have a Summer 2016 release date. The are no plot details about the sequel at the moment but what is known is that actors Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine will return in their original roles with Jon M. Chu directing and the script by Ed Solomon and Pete Chiarelli.

Not much to say about the dates themselves, it makes sense to release Now You See Me 2 in the summer and even in the same weekend that the original was released because it worked very well last time, as for Dirty Grandpa I assume the holiday release will do it good.
