Elizabeth Banks and Donald Glover Join 'Magic Mike XXL'; Synopsis Revealed

The film Magic Mike was a big hit in the box office, totaling $167 million worldwide on a mere $7 million budget, naturally this success has led to a sequel coming our way. The sequel, titled Magic Mike XXL, will see Channing Tatum return as the lead, with Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias also returning to their roles.

With the film close to begin filming casting reports have been going around for the sequel and Warner Bros. has even revealed the official synopsis of the film. The most recent additions to the cast (via /Film) have been Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover and Michael Strahan, who join previously announced Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Andie MacDowell. Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, ‘Magic Mike XXL’ finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.
