Sam Raimi and Fede Alvarez Teaming up Again for 'A Man in the Dark'

The Evil Dead team of Sam RaimiFede Alvarez, Rod Tapert, and Rodo Sayagues are teaming up once again for the thriller A Man in the Dark. It was announced through a press release by Ghost House Pictures (via Collider) that the horror team will reunite for this new film, which Raimi and Tapert will produce, Alvarez and Sayagues will write, and that Alvarez will direct.

A Man in the Dark centers on three teenagers who perfectly plan home robberies that they always get away with. When they plan out the last robbery that will take them out of the life of crime, they target a blind man hiding millions of dollars. During this final heist things take a turn for the worst, and the teenagers find themselves trapped and trying to escape from a psychopath with some secrets of his own.

I wasn't really big on the remake of Evil Dead, but I'm still aware that this is a great horror film team and their projects are ones to keep an eye on. The plot at first glance doesn't really sound too appealing, but I am sure the people involved will find a way to translate the plot into a great horror film, so I hope when more material from the film comes out that it catches my interest.
