Dwayne Johnson Starring in 'Baywatch' Movie

Yes, you read correctly, not only are we getting a Baywatch movie but it will star Dwayne Johnson, who is no stranger to big movie franchises. Paramount has been trying to get this film going for years and has hired writer Justin Malen to rewrite the script with Sean Anders and John Morris attached to direct.

THR reported that Johnson was loosely attached to star in the film, but the actor confirmed his involvement via his Twitter account. Justin Malen will rewrite a script that was written by Robert Garant, and comedic duo Sean Anders and John Morris will direct after making their directorial debut with Horrible Bosses 2, and previously writing We're the Millers.

Normally I would be completely against the making of this film, but by the looks of it they are going the comedic route with it, and that does sound like something fun to watch. No dates have been given on the production, but with this news dropping other casting and/or dates shouldn't be that far away.
