Disney Animation Studios Announces 'Moana' for 2016

Walt Disney Animation Studios has announced their latest upcoming film, titled Moana. The studio is enjoying great success, Big Hero 6 is opening soon with very positive buzz, and they have offered previous amazing titles like Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen. This great streak has audiences anticipating what the studio will give us next.

Disney Animation announced via Twitter their 56th animated film Moana, which will hit theaters in 2016. Directed by the team of Ron Clements and John Musker, Moana is described as follows:
In the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania, Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her incredible journey, she teams up with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and ancient folklore.
The premise of Moana sounds interesting and fun, also a very fresh idea which we have never seen anything similar before. I really enjoy when we get new material from animated movies and not just sequels, and with the current success Disney Animation is on I am going to trust anything they put out. This film sounds great and I hope it is a good as it sounds when it hits theaters in 2016.
