'Deadpool' Movie Will Be Part of the X-Men Cinematic Universe

With Fox developing a Deadpool film, the question among fans is which route the studio will take with the character, if the film will be rated R or PG-13, and how will it fit in the cinematic universe already established with the X-Men. Writer/producer Simon Kinberg has shed some light on the topic with recent comments that point that Deadpool will be a part of the X-Men cinematic universe.

Kinberg recently talked to ComicBook.com (via Collider) and gave the following statement about Deadpool:
"There's definitely a sort of overall plan that we've all been talking about for the X-Men universe now, and Deadpool obviously fits into that. So yeah, I guess I would say it's part of certainly an overall timeline and thought process that goes into these films, some of which is inspired by the comics and some which is inspired by seeing what Marvel's done with telling a larger tapestry and linking all those movies together, even as they stand independently as well. The same kind of thought is going to go into these X-Men movies at Fox."
These comments do appear to point out that Deadpool will be included in the X-Men universe, or at least that seems to be the plan. That idea worries hardcore fans of the character because it may mean to loose some of the essence that is vital to Deadpool, for those of you who are unfamiliar, the character is aware that he is in a comic book, so he is constantly talking to the audience and making inappropriate jokes while using inappropriate language.  Still, you can't blame the studio for wanting to include the character in a cinematic universe that is being so successful, making the film PG-13 and having Deadpool share screen with the X-Men will only help it gain more of an audience. It's still to soon for anything to be definitive so we will just have to wait until more is revealed on the film, Deadpool is set to be released on February 12th, 2016.
