'Bond 24' Adds Dave Bautista as Henchman

Sam Mendes' Bond 24 is under way to begin filming on December 6th, which means the film must be gathering up its cast to be ready for the shooting date. For Bond films that includes finding the people who 007 will fight, and in Bond 24 it looks like Daniel Craig will have to go against wrestler turned action star, Dave Bautista, who has joined the film to play a main henchman.

Latino Review broke the news that Bautista was added to the cast to play the part of a main henchman named Hinx. Dave Bautista fits the description that was already given about the character:
We are looking to follow in the tradition of JAWS and ODDJOB in finding an iconic baddy.
Hinx (Male, 30 – 45)
Ideally over 6 foot 2 inches. Hinx is the main henchman/assassin. We are looking for an imposing extremely physically fit actor. He has several fights with Bond and will have to have stunt training. He has to drive. We are looking for someone very unusual, possibly from a sports background.
Bautista is coming off the great success of Guardians of the Galaxy and this role in another big franchise sounds like a great idea. I can definitely see him as a Bond villain and would enjoy watching him in a fight against Craig, he is a very physically imposing guy so I am looking forward to how Bond would get the edge and win. Directed by Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig, Bond 24 opens in theaters on November 6th, 2015.
