Ridley Scott's 'The Martian' Adds Sean Bean

Ridley Scott's The Martian is closing in to begin production and has had many big talent names circling around it, and now a new name is being thrown in the bunch. Sean Bean has reportedly joined the cast of the space survival film. The story centers around an astronaut that finds himself stranded on Mars after his crew leaves him for dead in an emergency evacuation.

THR reported on the addition of Sean Bean to the cast of The Martian as a NASA flight director. Bean will join Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Jeff Daniels, Kate Mara, Michael Peña and Kristen Wiig, who are also starring in the film. I think Bean is a very talented actor and I can completely see him as an astronaut, I just hope his character doesn't die. This film is shaping up to have an amazing cast as a whole, and if that is any indicator we are in for an amazing film with this one. Directed by Ridley Scott from a script by Drew Goddard, The Martian hits theaters on November 25th, 2015.
