Kevin Feige Talks 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', Says Roster Will Change

Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron has been the talk for the past few days, with the first trailer being leaked and then released, a scene being revealed today during Agents of SHIELD, plus Marvel making a big announcement at a special event today for the press. With the whole Civil War reports going around, people are wondering what will the future for the superhero team hold, and a rumor going around not too long ago was that the roster of characters could change. Kevin Feige confirmed the rumors by commenting on the subject during an on-set interview.

While talking to BuzzFeed (via Collider) about the Avengers films, Feige confirmed that the roster of the Avengers will change, specifying that the superhero team will be altered by the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron:
"The Avengers films, ideally, in the grand plan are always big, giant linchpins. It's like as it was in publishing, when each of the characters would go on their own adventures and then occasionally team up for a big, 12-issue mega-event.  Then they would go back into their own comics, and be changed from whatever that event was.  I envision the same thing occurring after this movie, because the [Avengers] roster is altered by the finale of this film."
These comments seem to make sense from what we apparently know of the future of these films and characters. If they are heading for a Civil War storyline then we could possibly begin to see that separation and animosity between the characters by the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron leading up to Captain America 3. The question that remains is who leaves and who stays, and for that we will have to wait until Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1st, 2015.
