'Angry Birds' First Photo and Cast is Revealed

It has been out there for some time that an Angry Birds movie was in the works, not many people were on board with the idea, myself included, and know Sony has revealed the first image from the upcoming film as well with the cast the will be lending their voices.

According to the press release the film will be led by the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph and Peter Dinklage. Sudeikis will play the role of Red, the leader bird with temper issues, Gad will play speedy yellow bird, Chuck, and McBride will play black bird, Bomb. Rudolph will play a character named Matilda, Dinklage will be the legendary Mighty Eagle, and Hader will play an unnamed character who is said to have joined the pork side.

Angry Birds, set for a July 1st, 2016 release, will mark the directorial debut of Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis and will also count, in supportive roles, with the voices of Kate McKinnon, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, Cristela Alonzo, Jillian Bell, Danielle Brooks, Romeo Santos, and Ian Andrew Hecox and Andrew Padilla.
