After all the issues that this film has been through, it seems that things might finally be looking up for Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs biopic. Casting news has surfaced from the film and fortunately this time it's not about anyone leaving the film, but the report is that actor Michael Stuhlbarg has joined the Aaron Sorkin-scripted film.Deadline reported on the Steve Jobs biopic adding Stuhlbarg, who joins still attached Michael Fassbender and Seth Roger as Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, respectively. According to the report, Stuhlbarg will play Andy Hertzfeld, a computer scientist and inventor who was part of the original Apple team that came up with Macintosh Operating System and worked closely with Jobs until leaving to Google in 2005.The report also adds that Universal is putting the film into production next year.
I'm happy that we are starting to hear good things from the film again, and I hope that I'm not speaking too soon and find out next week that Stuhlbarg has left the project. The beginning of prodcution next year is also great to hear and hopefully that ends up happening as well. Let's keep our fingers crossed for more positive news to come.
