Rebel Wilson Met with Paul Feig for 'Ghostbusters' Reboot

A while ago it was revealed that a Ghostbusters reboot with a female cast was in development with Paul Feig at the helm and Katie Dippold writing the script. There hasn't been word about which actresses are up for parts in the film but apparently Rebel Wilson might be one of them, with the actress revealing that she has met with Paul Feig for the Ghostbusters reboot.

While on The Today Show (via Collider), Rebel Wilson confirmed a meeting with the director for the film, and joked about doing the film for free saying the following:

"Look, I've had a meeting, but who knows. They have to take a look at the script when it's finished. I'd even do it without the money truck because Ghostbusters, the giant marshmallow man if that's going to be in it…yeah, I'd do that for free…. I probably shouldn't say that on TV."

These comments don't confirm that the actress will appear in the film, but it does open a big possibility for it. Given Wilson and Feig's relationship from working in Bridesmaids and that she is a great comedic talent, you have to include her in the list of candidates if not to assume she will get a role. I think she would be a great fit for the film and her comedic timing would add something special to the film. We will have to wait for castings to be made, but until then Rebel Wilson is looking like a strong possible pick.
