First 'Terminator: Genisys' Trailer

Paramount has released the first trailer for the upcoming Terminator: Genisys, and apparently it will be a reboot and retelling of the franchise and the beginning of a new trilogy. The trailer begins in the future where John Conner (Jason Clarke) talks to his troops, where Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) volunteers to go back in time to protect John's mother Sarah Conner (Emilia Clarke) from the Terminators sent to kill her, but when he gets there he finds things are not as we remember them from the original films. In the past we find Sara Conner fighting a T-1000, and later realize that the original T-800 sent back to kill her was destroyed by an older T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger). That's where things take a twist in this new version.

I'm not sure how to feel about this retelling of the story yet, not because it's a reboot but because this new version is very confusing to me when it comes to the timeline, this trailer does fill me in a bit though. As a trailer I liked it, it was a good introduction to the new story and a preview of the action, the trailer makes me want to see the film to answer the remaining questions. Terminator: Genisys stars Emilia Clarke, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi and Byung Hun Lee, opening in theaters on July 1st, 2015. Check out the trailer (via YouTube) below.
