John Boyega Responds to "Black Stormtrooper" Criticism

After the release of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer the natural reaction was that a lot of people would be talking about it, some loving it, other just liking it, and of course there had to be some criticism that came with it as well. But of all the things that people could have disliked, from the rolling robot, to the Sith lightsaber design, even the absence of Han, Leia and Luke, some people took issue and made ridiculous "criticism" about another aspect of the trailer, that there was a black Stormtrooper. There must be either something very wrong with you or you know nothing about Star Wars for you to complain about there being a black Stormtrooper.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega went on his Instagram (via Variety) and addressed the negative remarks by simply saying "Get used to it.", followed by a very appropriate smiley face. In my opinion this was a perfect response to the issue, not only because he addressed the negativity with a short and sweet "Deal with it" answer but because it was just a small part of a bigger message thanking everyone for the support, and I believe that little thought should be put into this negativity. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by J.J. Abrams and also stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker, opening in theaters on December 18, 2015. Check out the Instagram post below. Also, check out the teaser trailer again (you know you want to).
