While talking to Omelete (via Collider), Morris revealed new information about Finding Dory. According to the report, the sequel takes place around six months after the first film, and Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) now lives a normal life in a reef of clown fishes. Things get interesting when Dory takes Nemo to a class trip where they see manta rays migrate back home, making Dory wonder where she comes from and inspiring her to go on a journey to find her parents. Morris also revealed that most of the film will take place at the California Marine Biology Institute, where Dory was born and raised, and will also introduce new characters including sea lions, an octopus and a beluga whale.
All this new information about the film sounds great and like it could make for one fun film, not that I really need a lot of information to make me anticipate this film more. Finding Dory will also include the voices of Eugene Levy, Diane Keaton, Idris Elba, Dominic West and Ty Burrell, opening in theaters on June 17th, 2016.
