'The Conjuring 2' Gets New Release Date

Most of us were a little disappointed about The Conjuring 2 being pushed back to 2016, but when it was later revealed that the push was most likely due to James Wan returning to direct then we knew the wait would probably be worth it. The film was pushed to an unspecified date in 2016, but it has now been reported that The Conjuring 2 is set to be released on June 10th, 2016  (via Collider).

The film may have landed a release date, but there is still no information about a plot or casting. Though it is expected that the film will center on a new case of Ed and Lorraine Warren, which would mean the return of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga to their paranormal investigator roles. I am really excited that a sequel is happening and even more with Wan directing, so to get a specific date is great since it means that things are moving along. I am very curious to know where this story is going next, and if it will continue with the Warrens I will be very happy. Hopefully as the project progresses more information will come out to get us more excited about The Conjuring 2, now hitting theaters on June 10th, 2016.
