Christoph Waltz May be Playing a Villain in 'Bond 24'

December shooting is rapidly approaching for Sam Mendes' Bond 24, and a new name could be added to the film before production begins. The last two names that joined the film were Dave Bautista, who would reportedly play a main henchman, and Lea Seydoux, said to have the femme fatale role in the film. But the question that remained was who these to characters would be working for, and apparently that role of the main villain could very well go to Christoph Waltz.

The story comes in a tweet from Daily Mail reporter Baz Bamigboye, who stated that Waltz had joined the film and shared some locations the film will shoot in. Check out the tweet below (via Collider).
I wasn't initially going to talk about this report since it is still technically a rumor (I don't like writing about rumors), but many sites I read are running with it and say that the source is often reliable, so I decided to talk about it. Before I say anything about it, it is important to remember that at this point these reports are only rumors and could very well be wrong until proven otherwise. That being said, I am incredibly excited of the possibility of Christoph Waltz being a Bond villain. Waltz is an amazingly talented Academy Award-winning actor, and if that doesn't convince you, check out Inglorious Basterds and try to tell me he can't be a great villain. I am a big fan of this guy, so I really hope these reports end up being true and we can see Waltz as the main villain in Bond 24. Directed by Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig, Bond 24 opens in theaters on November 6th, 2015.
