'X-men: Apocalypse' to begin shooting in 2015

After the massive success of X-men: Days of Future Past Bryan Singer and 20th Century Fox were quick on the trigger to begin planning for the next installment in the X-men franchise which was announced to be X-men: Apocalypse. The script for the next film has been in development for the entire summer and now it looks like production will return to Montreal with shooting starting in April 2015 according to Canadian newspaper Journal De Montreal (via CJAD), which reports set construction at Mel's Studio to begin at the end of this year in preparation for the April shooting.

No official announcements have been made about the plot of the film or which cast members will be returning. The expectation is for Bryan Singer to return as Director and for the cast of X-men: First Class to be predominant since it would be a sequel to Days of Future Past. X-men: Apocalypse is set to hit theaters in May 27th, 2016.
