'Deadpool' Movie Finally Being Made, Set For 2016

Ask and you shall receive, Deadpool fans have plenty to be happy about because Fox has officially announced via twitter and THR confirms that the "Merc with a Mouth" will get his own movie set to be released on February 12th, 2016.

Ryan Reynolds was seen as Wade Wilson turned Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine but the bad reception of the film and the misuse of the character in the film left fans very disappointed, afterwards the studio decided to act as if the film didn't exist and fans including Reynolds were asking for the character to get his own film and be portrayed as it should. The film went into development for a while with the actor supporting the project but only got as far as to land a director in Tim Miller and get a script that Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick wrote.

Word went around that test footage was supposed to be made to show to studio executives to pitch the making of the film, and on the last day of San Diego Comic-Con that footage supposedly leaked online and caused plenty of chat for how good it was. Speculation is that the public reaction to the footage was the final push the property needed for the film to go into production, whatever the reason was for Fox to get the ball rolling we can all just get excited for this announcement and hope that it will go well from here. The release date is what has been set in stone for now but expectation is that Tim Miller will still direct from the script by Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick and that Ryan Reynolds will return as Deadpool. Check out the footage that may have made all of this possible below.
