Bryan Singer Officially Set to Direct 'X-men: Apocalypse'

X-men: Apocalypse is one of the films that people are anticipating the most for 2016, with that much anticipation we want to know more and more about the film but for the moment that knowledge is limited. Without anything being actually official, we know that the film is to begin shooting in 2015 and that we may get a bald Professor X and that is where common knowledge ends, but now we have something more concrete and it is that Bryan Singer has officially signed on as director for the upcoming X-Men film.

Deadline broke the news that Singer has closed the deal with 20th Century Fox and will return to direct the sequel to X-men: Days of Future Past, which is what we were all expecting so there is no surprise in the news but it is still good to get official confirmation. Getting Singer to direct again is a no brainer given the massive success that Days of Future Past brought and after he gave life to this franchise with his first two films, he was the one to bring it back to life with the latest one. Hopefully this is the beginning of more news to come of the film, no plot or any details have been revealed other than the title but I know Singer will knock it out of the park again when X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters in May 27th, 2016.
