One of the questions going around about Terminator: Genisys is what rating the film will have, and on that topic, Courtney was talking with website The Arnold Fans and said the following:
"I would love to see it be rated R, but I don't think it will. I think in this day & age, it's much more likely to be PG-13. There were no f-bombs. But there'll be a healthy amount of movie violence.”Addressing the connection this film will have with the previous installments and if would be a sequel or a reboot, Courtney made the following comments on an separate interview with The Huffington Post:
"What I can say is that we start in a place we're familiar with from the early films and then, you know, circumstances change. It somewhat shifts the course of events from that point. It's not necessarily a sequel or a reboot. I don't even know how you brand it correctly. We're not remaking one of the early Terminator movies. And it doesn't necessarily carry on from the point where we left off."The comments aren't really that much revealing and don't actually give us a lot more to know from the film, being PG-13 I don't think will hurt the film in any way and whether it will be a reboot, a sequel, or whatever it is, we will have to wait and see. Terminator: Genisys hits theaters on July 1st, 2015.
