Casey Affleck Starring in Boston Marathon Bombing Film 'Boston Strong'

The tragic events that took place on April 15th, 2013 at the Boston Marathon that had great impact for the people of Massachusetts, these tough developments were covered by press all around the world and even led to books being written. Now the story of the Boston Marathon Bombing will be told on the big screen, with Massachusetts native Casey Affleck being attached to star and produce the film Boston Strong.

Variety reported that Casey Affleck is attached to star in and produce the film. Boston Strong will be an adaptation of a book of the same name written by Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge, the film will follow the events of the Boston Marathon Bombing and the long hunt that took place in order to capture the two men believed to be responsible, as well as the reaction the city had after these events. The script was written by Eric Johnson and Paul Tamasy and the project is reported to go out to studios next week hoping to find one to get behind it. 

I generally don't like when films are made based on tragedies, the only thing I support is that the story is told and when it is told accurately, unless the money films like these make goes to the people affected by the incident I don't really agree with people profiting from real tragedies and real people that suffered.
