Christian Bale Confirmed for Steve Jobs Biopic

The untitled Steve Jobs Biopic written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by Danny Boyle was reported to have been looking for its star for a while, big talent names had been circling the role but Leonardo DiCaprio turned it down and Christian Bale was last reported to be in talks to star. Apparently those talks ended well because it has been confirmed that Christian Bale will play the role of Steve Jobs in the biopic, and that confirmation came from none other than the film's writer Aaron Sorkin.

During an interview with Bloomberg (via Variety), Sorkin confirmed that Bale would play the leading role, pointing out that the actor was not required to audition for the role but that there was a meeting. Sorkin believes that Bale was an obvious choice by saying:
"We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Chris Bale. It's an extremely difficult part and he's gonna crush it."
I am on board with this, I have said before that I am very interested in the whole concept of this film, not just because it's about Steve Jobs, but because it will consist of just three long scenes taking place just before the launch of an iconic Apple product. Christian Bale is an incredible actor, so there is for me no doubt that he will do a fantastic job with the role. Check out the comments from Aaron Sorkin below.
