Michael Fassbender Could Play Steve Jobs in Danny Boyle's Biopic

Sony is back on the search for a star for the Danny Boyle directed Steve Jobs biopic, after the recent departure of  Christian Bale the studio had to go out again to find their new Jobs. Apparently the studio has someone in mind for the role already, with reports going around that Michael Fassbender is the next one in line wanted for the role.

Variety reports that the actor is in early talks for the role and adds that Seth Rogen is also in talks for the role of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, following the previous reports. Deadline however, reports that Fassbender is only being eyed for the role at the moment and points out not to get carried away with the info after what happened with the last two big names attached to the project.

Even if he is in talks or just being eyed for the role, these reports don't mean that Michael Fassbender has already landed or accepted the role. So I'm going to take this for what it is, as something that may happen or may not happen. But if Fassbender does end up with the role I will be happy with it, he is an Academy Award-nominated actor so there is nothing to add when it comes to talent. I do think that Bale had more of the look to be Steve Jobs, but I don't see that being an issue if Fassbender lands the part. Lets hope that Sony can get back on track and find their leading actor.
