'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Teaser Trailer

Like many others, I was patiently awaiting the reveal of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser trailer that was announced to take place on Monday, but unfortunately a low quality recorded version of trailer leaked early, forcing the hand of Warner Bros. to release the trailer online early. This teaser trailer provides us with the first look at Zack Snyder's next addition to the DC cinematic universe, pinning arguably the best superheroes ever against each other.

The look and visuals of the teaser has Zack Snyder written all over it, continuing the darkness that seems to be the tone that this universe will have moving forward. From the trailer we get a sense of the plot of the film, which appears to be that Superman has become a figure of controversy in the aftermath of Man of Steel, dividing opinions labeling him as a either a hero or a threat. As a teaser this one is successful, giving us just enough to get excited and vaguely know the plot of the film. Getting to see Batman not only in his regular new suit but also in the mechanic suit he will use to fight Superman was incredible, not to mention seeing the Batmobile and what appeared to be a Batplane in action. It might seem way too early to be teasing a film that is still a little less than a year away, but to me it was a good way to get the ball rolling and keep fans talking until we get to see something more. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Scoot McNairy, Jason Momoa, and Holly Hunter; opening in theaters on March 25, 2016. Amy Adams Talks Lois Lane in 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice'

At this point we know that Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be packed with big characters, Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and more. So you have to wonder what importance the roles of the smaller characters will have in the film, for example, Lois Lane played by Amy Adams. Well, if that is something that worries you then you can feel better about the role of Lois because according to Adams, her characters will still be key in the film while surrounded by superheroes.

During an interview with Collider for her upcoming film Big Eyes, the actress talked about the importance of Lois Lane in Batman v. Superman:
"Lois is still sort of like the key to the information, you know?  She's the girl going out and getting it and figuring it out and putting it together and all of that, so she's very much involved, but I kind of leave the heavy lifting to the boys, you know?  So to speak. They're awesome together.  It's kind of like this big fest of muscles … it was really kind of nice.  And then you add Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot and I felt very short and, yeah."
I assumed that Lois would play an investigative role like the one she had in Man of Steel, and these comments apparently confirm that. It makes sense to use the character that way, and it's how she can stand out in a way among all these superheroes. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters on March 23rd, 2016. Jeremy Irons Talks Alfred in 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice'

When it was revealed that Ben Affleck would be our new Batman whether to love it, hate it, or be neutral about it, fans couldn't stop talking about it for a long time, and later the same happened when it was revealed that Jesse Eisenberg would play Lex Luthor. But many people forget that with the same reveal of Lex Luthor came the reveal that we would also get a new Alfred played by Jeremy Irons, and the question that was overshadowed by all others was what will this new Alfred be like. Luckily, Jeremy Irons himself has shared some information as to what his version of Alfred will be like.

THR reported on the comments made by Irons of the character, which he made while receiving a career tribute at the Marrakech International Film Festival. When discribing what little he could about his rendition of Alfred, the actor said the following:

"He is quite a different Alfred than we have seen so far. Zack Snyder had very clear views about what he wanted. I would just say he's more hands-on perhaps than just a butler."

These comments may be short and precise, but open up a lot of room for speculation. What I take from them is that we are going to get a bad-ass version of Alfred, perhaps more involved in Batman's crusade than what we have seen before. Of course I can't be completely sure as to what "different" and "more hands-on" mean for the character, but whatever it means, I find it very exciting that we will be getting a new Alfred. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, opening in theaters on March 25th, 2016.

'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' Wraps Filming

After beginning production back in April, it looks like Zack Snyder has concluded filming on Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. This past Friday, cinematographer Larry Fong posted a short clip on his Instagram (via Collider) of a snowy location with the caption 'That's a wrap.", leading us to believe that he is referring to the wrapping of principlao photography for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Shooting for Zack Snyder's upcoming film took place primarily in Detroit, but also moved to Chicago and New Mexico. The film will now head to post-production work to edit all the footage that was captured during the eight months of shooting. Hopefully this means that a teaser or some sort of preview is coming our way soon. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will star Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, with Scott McNairy and Jena Malone in unconfirmed roles. The film will also include small roles from Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit theaters on March 25th, 2016.
